A weight loss comparison & weigh-in post!
I’ve been somewhat slacking on the weekly weigh-in posts lately, partially because I feel like they get a lil repetitive. However, from here on out I’m going to try my best to keep updating in the future, especially when I hit certain milestones. This Sunday I actually did hit a milestone…a weight loss of 40lbs!
For me, any 10lb loss is a big deal and I tried my very hardest to stay on track this week knowing I was so close to hitting that goal (with the exception of a lunch out with some co-workers, full story on my Instagram). Not only that, but I’ve gone through multiple 30lbs weight losses in the past and have fallen off track. This will be the first time in 6 years I’ve actually hit the 40lb mark…things are definitely getting more serious now!

Other than that questionable food choice on Thursday, I had a very solid week in regards to food & working out. Much better than the last two weeks, for sure 🙂 Hopefully, I don’t lose that momentum and right now I’m just so excited to be able to say I’m down 40lbs!
Weight Loss Comparison: One Year Ago Today
One fun comparison I got to make this week was looking at myself exactly one year ago as opposed to today. A year ago from yesterday (May, 19, 2017) I graduated from college at almost my heaviest weight of 255lbs. Of course, a bunch of Time-hop and Facebook photos kept popping up, forcing me to remember, and it was definitely a surreal experience looking at old photos of myself.
I’m not even halfway to my goal weight yet and still feel very insecure about my weight, so seeing these old photos of myself really helped me realize the progress I’ve made. Many of the pictures & selfies I take of myself are very…strategically angled, so I don’t always get an accurate photo of my weight. That being said, the majority of my graduation photos are NOT selfie photos and are so brutally honest! (which probably why I attempted to photoshop half of them)…
Like these photos here…

What a trip down memory lane! I can’t wait until I’m even farther along on my journey and my weight loss comparison photos become even more obvious. Until then, I’m just going to keep on powering through 🙂 As always, thank you for following my journey. Are there any milestones you hit this week? Let me know <3
