Smoothies & Blender Bombs

Smoothies are a great source of vitamins, proteins & fats, depending on what ingredients you choose to throw in the mix! They can also get a little boring, especially if you’re someone like me who cycles through the same low SmartPoints recipes every few days.

That’s why I feel so extremely fortunate to have been sent a package of Blender Bombs from Healthy Lifestyle PR and Hush Up + Hustle! The latter being a brand that specializes in Blender Bombs, condensed balls of goodness that strongly resemble a bath bomb. An edible bath bomb for your smoothie, if you will.

Immediately, I did some digging on these Blender Bombs since I honestly have never heard of them before. The majority of information found was on Hush Up + Hustle’s website, which I encourage anyone who’s interested to go and check out! Essentially, these little bombs are PACKED with the plant powered nutrients your body needs to function and stay energized.

In fact, due to their wholesome, balanced ingredients, they can even correct the body’s nutritional deficiencies and result in less junk food cravings. Sounds like a win to me! I’ve only tried a few so far, but I definitely noticed a difference in my hunger levels post drinking a Blender Bomb smoothie.

Blender Bombs Nutritional Information

One thing that was really important to me before being sent these BB’s was having the nutritional info to calculate their Weight Watcher’s point value. Healthy Lifestyle PR was kind enough to send me one of BB’s labels since this information is not available on their website. The one recieved was for the Cacao + Peanut Butter + Coffee Blender Bomb, and when calculated through the Weight Watchers app, comes to 5 SP on myWW Blue, Purple and Green.

While the 5 SP is the amount of this specific bomb, all Blender Bombs are 130 calories and seem to contain similar base ingredients. Therefore, I feel like it’s safe to say that all Blender Bombs are roughly 5 Weight Watchers SmartPoints. Keep in mind that if you decide to try other flavors, the actual value may vary a point or two.

Now, a few more things to note about Blender Bombs. When I received my package, there was no direction as to how they can be stored; however, I went to their website and was able to pull the information there:

BB’s are fine out of the refrigerator within 1 week of arriving to your home. Once refrigerated, BB’s are best kept in the fridge for up to 8 weeks, and the freezer for 3 months.

Allergens

All ingredient lists can be found on Hush Up + Hustle’s website, or on the package of the BB’s you purchase. It’s important to note that some of these bombs DO contain allergens, most commonly peanuts, walnuts, pecans, or another tree nuts. Please make sure to read all labels before purchasing!

Goji + Coconut + Acai Blender Bombs

The Blender Bombs that were sent to me were made with Goji + Coconut + Acai – three foods that I don’t normally eat or drink and was super excited to try. The box I received contained a Mango Spinach Smoothie recipe card, which sounded amazing but would have been high in points. This card also contined some additional information about the product and brand.

Rather than following the provided recipes, I decided to make my own combo to keep things aligned with Weight Watchers. However, I encourage anyone interested to check out their website for a TON of delicious recipe options (some of which include CHOCOLATE!). Keep reading to see what kind of smoothie I made.

If you’re someone who’s looking to switch things up with their smoothies, or needs their smoothie to be a little more filling and substantial, then I 100% recommend Blender Bombs.

What really won me over was the unique flavor they added to my smoothie. Not only did they make my drinks slightly more nutty, but the Blender Bomb also created a smoother, thicker texture. Pretty low in SmartPoints, great flavor, more energy…what are you waiting for!! You can purchase Blender Bombs here.

This is my honest opinion. I was sent Blender Bombs to try out and share only if I enjoyed the product, which I very much did 🙂

I hope you all have a lovely week!

xoxo,

LiL
